Step 1 – We will arrange for you meet an Operations Manager

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss your aspirations and provide you with information regarding Hydes and the site you have applied for. At this stage we would provide an overview of the financial performance of the site.

If you have made a speculative application, this first meeting is an opportunity for you to see why Hydes stands out from other operators! Tip –

  • Visit the pub you are interested in, as a customer, a few times making sure you go at lunch time / evening and weekends to get a real feel for the trade and customers there
  • Check you have all of the requirements to enter the pub business. If you are not sure what these are CLICK HERE

Step 2 -  We will contact you within a week of your meeting us.

If you have applied speculatively we will advise you that we’d like to keep your details on file and we will send you details of any vacancies as they arise.

Successful applicants (interested in a specific site) will be asked to complete a business plan. We will send various information including:

  • A template business plan to complete
  • A “shadow” P and L based on the pub you are applying for. This is a Profit and Loss account produced using various assumptions and set information that we have.
  • A price list

Once we have your business plan we'll meet with you to discuss it in detail. At this time we will also seek to conduct credit reference checks. –

  • You must ensure that you have taken professional advice regarding your business plan.
  • Ensure you have read our Code of Practice.

Step 3 – Anyone who has reached Step 2 will be contacted to confirm whether or not their application has been successful.

Successful applicants will receive a written offer and a full copy of their intended agreement. You will be expected to sign this before going into the site and you must have taken professional advice before doing so.
