Hydes has recently acquired Bamford Hall, a Victorian mansion located 8 miles south east of Manchester, for development as an outstanding pub restaurant due to open in September 2008.

The site extends to over 3 acres, enjoys a stunning greenbelt location, and yet is within 10 minutes drive-time of over 100,000 people.

The Hall was built in the mid 1870s by a wealthy local business man and was used as a private home until the early 1940s. During the second world war the hall was used as a hospital and offices for the local home guard.
After the war the house was sold to the Imperial Chemical Co. (ICI). They used the house as a hotel/guesthouse and conference centre until the mid 1980s. It was then sold to another local company and was used as offices and flats until the mid nineties.
